Oh boy!!!

Well folks it 11 pm and it has started snowing!!!! Hubby headed home tomorrow and fire blazing..... I love my life! Check in tomorrow to see how much snow we get :-) till the , God bless from our homestead to yours :-)

My baby girl

So my Bella gets in the car talking about her friend again and how he spilled milk on himself today at lunch. And how much she likes hanging out with him etc .... She speaks of him everyday but today she was telling of how people make fun of her for hanging out with him. You see he is special needs and is different in the eyes of many but seeing how much my child cares for him tears to my eyes. I know how blessed she will be by this friendship and I am above proud of her for not caring what others think. You see I am starting to see more and more how much she is just like her momma. I am down with my back and she went to feed the animals for me and came back with pics of her and the cow lol. These are a few of her pics off her iPod lol. Some nasty weather

Well we had a bit of nasty weather last night. All is well around here but some in the state are dealing with tornado cleanup. We had some high winds but no damage , just a Whole lot of rain and ALOT of water sitting around on the homestead. Let me just say going out and dealing with animals in this weather IS NOT fun! Lazy Sunday ...

Well it was a pretty laid back day around here, we went to church then Bella went with her daddy for the day and me and Jordan hung out at mommas and did laundry and visited all day . I went to get some diapers and got Jordan and surprise , a little drum set I found on sale :-)
Then on my way back I got behind the mules and buggy so called Norris and told him bring Jordan out real quick to see it go by. :-)
Jordan enjoyed sitting in nini lap and watching the rodeo a little while , till he got scared he would fall asleep then he went outside with papa to watch cars lol while Bella painted her nails.

Ooooo I almost forgot , Jordan is in his last week in the twos class at church before he moves up to the big boy class, just had to get a picture of him and his "truly" aka Trudy lol . He sure loves her bunches , I am so blessed to have such great people helping us hide gods word in our children's hearts !

Albus got a boo boo

Well we lucked out and just had a really cold rain today. Other areas in the state got some bad ice but we were lucky . So we have just had a lazy day by the fire here . But Bella went out to check the cows water this afternoon and ran back saying the cow was bleeding. So I threw on my coat and took off not having a clue what was wrong lol . Luckily it looks like he is ok and just got into a briar or something so I came back put on some sweats an grabbed my boots and took him some extra food and hay to get a better look and send my dad a picture lol . Lesson learned don't try to got at a 400 or more pound steers foot they will head butt you HARD. .... But hey you do what ya got to do :-) I think our baby will be fine will check again first thing in the morning. Until next time..... God bless from our homestead to yours :-)

Bible study day....

Well Thursday is our bible study day at CBS , community bible study. I teach the 3 year old. Class so we are there all day on Thursdays. We have missed the last few weeks with Jordan being sick so today he was a little hesitant about going . And sure enough in my study time before the kids arrive they brought him to me , he wanted his momma , so he stayed with me in my class today and then went with the sitter for my afternoon study time . He was very good in my class and it gave me the rare opportunity to get pictures of his day so I am gonna share them with you :-) also we had a BeUtiful sunset today so I had to snap a pic of it to share to . Also we had 2 cool eggs that we are passing on to a friend to show their kids , one huge it is a double yolk , and one really tiny , my guess is no yolk . so i put a pic of them next to a regular egg but the picture dosnt do justice :-) . They are calling for winter weather tonight so we are settled in to see what comes , an have a cool snow day project if school closes so check back tomorrow and see :-) until next time , God bless from our homestead to yours :-)

Jordan's morning out

Cold but beautiful morning on the homestead

Well the forecast lived up , it was 17 degrees this morning , but boy oh boy was it a beautiful morning . Before we headed out to take Bella to school I went to feed The animals and bust up their water/ice . I snapped a few pictures of course. Well have a great day, and until next time ..... Lots of outside work in some cold temps....

Well today was a VERY busy day on the homestead . I am wore out and extremely sore lol . It was a cold windy day here and what did I have to do but hummmm restock wood lol .

My dad went and picked up the first load and helped me throw it out in the yard then while he went to pick up second load I started stacking away , lots of hard work and still have more to stack tomorrow but so thankful for the heat that the wood provides . Then I got distracted and started putting sides up on the shelter, the low is expected to be 17 tonight so hoping this helps keep Albus and brick warm , neither were happy with my hammering and both tried to attack me lol . Then my dad came back over to help me tarp sides, but I had already hung metal ll so he helped me put out a bale of extra hay , gonna be a cold one tonight but me and the kiddos are sleeping in the living room in front of fire :-) keep warm, and until next time , God bless from our homestead to yours :-)

Night at the Rodeo....

Well Saturday night , the 19th, we went to the rodeo here in town. It was Jordans first time and he was sure dressed for his night out :-) He loved the popcorn and soda and his reactions were priceless. Bella has a great time too , I have a feeling she will marry a cowboy lol.
